So, is it possible to create user defined keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop? While I can not find any Preference setting that would allow me to do that, and while I assume it is not possible, given that it apparently is not possible in Lightroom, the existence of the folder above makes me want to at least ask. That was a disappointment, but it still made me wonder if it was possible for Photoshop itself, and hence this question. I posed the question on the Lightroom forum and was told, I am sure correctly, that it was not possible to customize the keyboard shortcuts for Lightroom. It was not for Lightroom, and it was empty, but its existence made me think that perhaps it was possible to configure user keyboard shortcuts to replace those used by Photoshop and, by extension, the same might be true for Lightroom. In re-learning Lightroom I began to wonder if it was possible to create user customizable keyboard shortcuts as I had become a bit annoyed at having to right-click and select Photoshop every time I wanted to use it from Lightroom. If you have a lot of verticals that don’t orient properly, the keyboard shortcuts will save you tons of time. Note: Using the Command key (Control on PC) and the left and right bracket keys will rotate images. What brought me back was the rich selection of extensions and plugins for Photoshop, many of which will not work with any other editor. All you need to do while still in Lightroom is press the Ctrl + E shortcut. If you find the need to go to Photoshop probably to look for a photo you’re planning to use for the editing task you do not have to save your image and go out of Lightroom before opening Photoshop.
