![]() There is literally NOTHING RIO can do to you or your Blizzard account if you are hacked on RIO and have it linked. (I know it can be gamed with things like carries but it in 95% of cases RIO is a far more accurate representation of whether a player can actually perform than Gearscore ever was)Īlso a follow-up to being against account linking, coming from a backend microservice developer.Īll the linking is doing is identifying that a 3rd party account X is associated to a Blizzard account Y. Rather, it is a direct representation of the content you have proven that you are able to complete. It doesn't reflect you equipping bad gear choices just to inflate your number. It doesn't reflect if you bought a bunch of BoEs on AH to inflate your score. It doesn't reflect how lucky you got with drops. Side note though, RIO is WAY better than gearscore. (If you don't intend to join PUGs, it doesn't matter, just ignore it, it has no impact on your life) Rejecting RIO is kinda like saying: "I refuse to have a resume or linkedin but still expect people to hire me!" If you have any intention of joining PUGs that are pushing content you are shooting yourself in the foot by refusing to use it. If you don't have a RIO score people will just assume you have 0 experience and likely not bring you into a group. It is effectively a "resume" for your activity. Regardless though, it is part of WoW now. ![]() If this is so important to you, just be grateful they even have the option to remove your toon. I will not link my account to anything, nor do I want to log in on RIO at all. ![]() If you wish to delete your Warcraft Logs account, you will need to send an email to with your request for assistance. Not acceptable for me.
